Every so often I lose the ability to see the date in a little pop-up box when
I pause my cursor over the time in the taskbar (Windows XP Home SP2).
Normally, a restart of the computer fixes it....any suggestions?

You may achieve the same fix(resetting the z-order) by R-clicking the
Program listing in the Start Menu and picking "Sort by name".
