Hi Maurice

Firstly unlock your taskbar, if locked, and then click and drag the top edge
upwards. This should increase the height of the taskbar in increments and the
date should appear below the time. Re-lock the taskbar and you are done.

You may wish to install the fabulous "click tray calendar"
which displays the date in the bottom bar
I have used it for ten years.

Hover your cursor over the clock to see the date.

I'm with you, and I greatly prefer Tclock to Tclockex. Despite the
similarity of their names, they are two different programs.

But the important things for Maurice to recognize are

1. He can get what he wants by making the taskbar two or more lines
high.

2. He can get what he wants by installing any of several third-party
programs. Most, if not all, of these are freeware, so rather than
taking the advice of any of us as to which is best, he should try
several (or all) of them and decide for himself which he prefers.
