Date Field Problems with CSV files using ODBC and Java

I am trying to read the CSV file using ODBC (Text Driver)
and JAVA.

I can read all the fields using the Select statement
except for 2 fields which are Date fields and have the
format yyyymmdd in the CSV files.

Does someone have any clue as to what I may be missing ?
