I was just asked this question and I wasn't able to answer it so I'm hoping
that someone here can. My secretary has been using an excel sheet for a
about a year where she would enter the date as mm/dd/yyyy . Today for no
apparent reason if she tries to enter the date

10/11/2007 she would get 11/10/2007. I formatted the column to mm/dd/yyyy
but excel is still trying to switch around the order of the months and days,
but only if the "Days are < 12" and could be a month. How can I change this?

That worked THANKS, wish I would have asked that question a few years ago
when I first experienced it.
