Date in Email is gone

Am using Outlook 2003 (part of Office 2003) on my home computer. Yesterday
(08/02/2009), the date of an email disappeared. My email is organized by
date, and the date header reflects "NONE". In addition, all incoming emails
are not showing up with a date.

Any idea what happened and how to get the dates back?

What is the title of the date header column? Did you try resetting the view?

The view groups by date. The date is also one of the columns shown in the
email list. But, now the date in the "title" shows the word NONE, and the
date is no longer shown as a column in the email list.

Sorry Brian, I did figure it out. Somehow the Received Date got deleted from
the list of fields being shown in the list. When I added it to the list, the
problem is resolved. However, I have no idea how it got deleted.

I do have Windows One Care running. COuld it be some update was performed
against Outlook that caused the Received Date to be removed from the list? I
can go back and determine from One Care if an update was recently performed.

Again, thanks for the help.

Not true. There is no column labeled "Date" in the Outlook column header.
There can be "Received", "Modified", "Created", and a few others, but none
named "Date".

It is unlikely that any application on your PC deleted the column. The most
likely way would be for you to have deleted it yourself. It's not difficult
and can be done accidentally.

Next time, if there is one, you can simply reset the view. View>Arrange
By>Current View>Customize Current View>Reset Current View.
