I have printed of 3 documents today which I typed overa period of weeks at
different dates. Each doucument when I print it today has todays date printed
on it, and the date I typed at the time of typing the documents is
overwritten with todays date. I can alter the date back to the correct date
on screen but when I print the doucument, todays date still appears. These
dates are on business memos underneath the address of the person I am sendig
the letter to.

Thats because you used the insert date option in whatever version of word
you used, and when you open the document it refreshes to todays date.
Depending on version of word, if 2007 amend the insert to not refresh, on
previous versions delete the insert date field and type the correct date
