Since recently reloading Windows XP, I get an error message after using
InterVideo WinDVD and also running some arcade style games. After closing
the application, I get the prompt:

"Screen resolutions should be at least 800x600 to use Date Card software."
This requires me to click OK.

My screen resolution is set at 1440x900, so I don't understand why this has
started happening. Any suggestions?

Jan Langford

Reloaded winxp, from an actual win cd or system recovery cd?
If recovery cd perhaps it has installed some 'extra bonus' software
Did you also install the proper drivers or simply rely on win update
drivers?
Otherwise no other suggestions

Thanks for your suggestion - I have not installed any specific drivers, so
you may have something there. I have a bit of a "drivers brick wall" - were
do you suggest I start?

If you have no drivers cd's you obtain drivers from the maker of your PC if
a large OEM, eg Dell / HP , or if a laptop, otherwise from the manufacturers
of your hardware, eg Motherboard, vid card
If you dont know what hw you have Beleric Adviser can usually help
