Hi all. I've been installing more memory a new 40GB hard disk and installing Windows 2000 Pro. I had the 'detect more than 32GB' problem with the hard disk in BIOS but just set the jumper to Cap Limit and that is ok.

But every time i re-boot the the PC the date and time revert back to 00.00 on the 1st of January 1601.

The CMOS batttery was ok before i put the new hard disk and memory in and the BIOS settings don't change when re-booting.

Anyone have any ideas?

You must determine if this is a Win2000 or a hardware problem. Do this:
- Set the date.
- Reboot the machine.
- Don't allow it to start Win2000 but get into the BIOS.
- Check the date.

If the date is wrong then your problem is caused by the
motherboard. Take the PC back to the dealer and have
it fixed.
