date & time-delayed email glitch

Up until recently, it has always worked like a charm...I create an email, go
to Options, set the day and time I want to the email to go out, select Send,
then the email sits in my Outbox until it is ready to go out on the day and
time I specified in Options.

Until now. I went through my usual routine in Options, hit Send, and it
sent the email immediately. Ironically, the email never went to the Outbox,
it sat in my Sent folder because it went out immediately, but in looking at
the sent email, the blue bar at the top of the email specifically states
"This item has been marked to be delivered after (date & time)."

Can anyone offer a solution to fixing this glitch?

Windows XP
Outlook 2007

Thanks.
