DataViewManager.RowFilter not working

Hi.
I have the following problem.
I cannot filter Child Tables with the dataviewmanager:

dim dvm as new dataviewmanager
dvm = dataset.defaultviewmanager
datagrid.datasource = dvm

dvm.dataviewsettings(<Master Table>).rowfilter = ..... is working
dvm.dataviewsettings(<Child Table>).rowfilter is not working

Is this a bug in the dataviewmanager?
If so, any workarounds or ideas to solve this problem?
Please help.
