DataTable.Select(string filter)

The above method gives me an IndexOutOfRangeException, for no reason at all.
It seems to occure when I use a parent column in the filter (via the PARENT
function) expression and the parent column has an Ordinal value greater than
the number of columns in the child table, i,e, the table on which I am
performing the select.
