I have a VERY space-limited DataGrid control and I want to finely specify
the formatting of dates that appear in one of the columns. With CF SP1, I
could see most of the information I wanted; with SP2, all I see is
"MM/DD/YY" unless I expand the column width. Is there ANY code (custom or
otherwise) that allows me to specify the string formatting of a
TextBoxColumn?

Could you introduce an additional column to your DataTable using an
expression to format the date column as required. This depends on the
ability to do such data manipulation with an expression column, and I
haven't got the tools to try it here at the moment. Then set a custom
gridstyle to show this column but not the original one. Some GridStyle
