Last week my outlook started freezing when I opened it up. In the lower left
hand corner of the window it says "databinding". I can't access anything and
it only loads the screen partially. I've heard this might be due to having
Outlook start in Outlook today, but I can't even get in to change the start
up page. I am also wondering if doing a Restore Point might be helpful with a
problem like this.
Win XP pro. Office 2002 SP3

Either reset the outlook today page (right click on the outlook today folder
and choose properties, folder home page tab) or don't start in outlook
today. You can also try running scanpst on your pst. This is courtesy of
Diane Poremsky, Outlook MVP.

Also, if you're running a Dell with Cyberlink please disable the Outlook Add
In to see if that helps.

Thanks K., Due to the databinding issue, nothing in outlook is accessible to
me. The folders show up, but they're like plain images and nothing happens
when I click on anything. is there another way to get in to change the start
folder without Outlook having to be open?
Thanks again.

If you open Outlook in safe mode, does that help? Or open it using the
/cleanviews switch?

Start > Run > outlook.exe /safe

or

Start > Run > outlook.exe /cleanviews
