Need help!

I have a database of products that I want customers to be able to search.
The database fields are:

CATOGORY :: SUB-CATOGORY :: PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

I want the customer to

1. 'choose' a catogory
2. 'choose' a sub-catogory (of the chosen catogory)
3. 'Search' for product name (of the chosen sub-catogory)

I have the database connection fine

QUESTION: Once they choose a catogory how do I pass that 'choice' to the
next look-up for it's particular sub-catogory, and again to it's product name?

Thanks!
Sondra
