Situation Brief:
I can currently creating a database for an English teacher for my A Level
coursework, whereby we have to create a new system and analyse the current
system and see how we can improve it.

Problem:
I have created 4 tables: student, assignment, class and report. i am
currently trying to create forms. For my student form i have used lookup
wizards to pick out the appropriate information, however when i tried to use
the same method in my assignment form i also used lookup wizards to pick out
specific information, however when i viewed this in form view the text boxes
came up as drop down boxes. how can i change it so that when i select student
ID all the information on the student i.e surname, forename, class etc would
come up automatically, so that when i change records relevent information
matching the student will come up?

Any help is much appreciated.Thank you

if I understand,
Your Need to create a Form, then create a subform, the wizard will ask you a
relation between the main form and the subform, this mean that the Link child
filed and the Link Master field will work on what you want.

if you need more help please reply.

Thank you for the help. It seems that my system is not working therefore i
had to create it again. i was jus wondering with my relationships, all of
them are 1 to many relationships, however the Student ID relationship in the
STUDENT table which is linked to the REPORT table only seems to be showing a
1 to 1 relationship. i was just wondering if this is right. thank you again
for your help
