I used the database interface wizard to create a database on our frontpage
supported site. I even used the frontpage provided sampl database. But I
get the error "unable to establish database connection with database" Why?

I thouhgt it might be an Access issue so I tried a bunch of things:
I also used the sample database provided by microsoft. I
also imorted a database directly to the site.
While I am able to place theses databases on the web, I can't open them in
access - when I try I get
this message "the file is located ourside your intranet or an untrusted site.
Microsoft access will not open the file due to potential security
progrbelms". I have no problems opening the files locally, but can't open
the web-based versions I need.

I've put my site on the trusted sites list in Internet explorer but this
didn't have an effect. What else should I try?

To open the database directly in Access, you need to export the database from the web within FP
back to your HD, then open it.
