i have a database results page that gets info from an
access database. one of the columns is a hyperlink
column. problem is, the field displays the whole url
hyperlink and not the display name. what am i doing wrong?

Do you have a separate field for "display name"? If so, you would need to
have the results page show the "display name" column value and hyperlink it
with the URL for that record. You can do this in the hyperlink dialog box
using the parameters button.
