Data View Details pane is grayed out

I am having issues in FP2003 trying to add and display Data Views.

I have tried various things to insert or view data from Lists in the Data
Source Catalog. Each time I select to Show Data, the Data View Details pane
is grayed out. When I open a sharepoint page someone has created that
contains a Data View, I don't see the data in my FP. I also cannot use the
'Convert to XSLT Data View' feature in my FP. I can perform all of the above
on other machines with success but not mine.

Information: I recently downloaded the Microsoft Expression Web beta for
testing. I since then have uninstalled it, as well as, uninstall and
reinstalled FP2003 back onto the system. It appears that this has had some
effect on my machine that I cannot figure out.

Sharepoint sites are on Windows 2003

Any thoughts???
