When using Norton Win Doc to check my components it always finds the following:
C.\Windows\Microsoft.Net\Framework\V2.0.5027\aspnet_wp.exe is a missing
program file.
There are at least six more of these each with a differen Framework\xxxx_xxx
Does this influence secrurity, or efficiency?
Thanks for any solution to this problem.

Hi

Have you been to Microsoft Update to see which, if any, files your system
needs?

Thank you Will Denny, MS sends up-dates automatically. How do I find a
single file? Not forgetting there are seven others of the same type which
are missing.
What Program do they belong to?

Hi

It would seem as though .Net Framework could be missing from your system,
but I don't use any Norton products, so am not sure what that program is
reporting. You could try reinstalling .net framework manually, then go to
Microsoft Update again:

Is the system experiencing any operational problems? If not then why try to
fix what doesn't seem to be a problem? IMHO, you are better off without
Norton Win Doctor, NAV or NIS.

Thanks Rock, you are right, I am just an old fuddle duddle who likes to see
all his ducks in a row. However you asked if I had operational problems, yes
but probably a different reason. Most of my in-coming mail on Outlook is not
accepted, sometimes returned to sender, sometime disappearing. But that is
another newsgroup I suppose. Thank you for the hard work you are putting in
for us newbies.

You're welcome. That doesn't sound link a .Net Framework problem, but if
you wanted to pursue the .Net issue you could uninstall/reinstall as Will
suggested. Sorry I can't give you any advice on the email issue. There are
Outlook specific newsgroups under microsoft.public.outlook. Good luck.

I am sorry for replying so late, but due to a trojan horse and a virus things
went hay-wire. I was unable to use Hotmail as well. I am ignoring the
missing files until an if they begin to cause trouble I would come and look
for your expert advise again. Thanks all of you.
