Hi,

I am just having a data table as a data source and i am attaching it as a
data source to a Compact Framework DataGrid.

The grid is coming readonly by default and i cant seem to find a way to make
it editable.

Whats the trick here?

Can some one help?

also please help on my earlier therad on bool column style. how to create
that in Compact Framework?

Andrew,

As the found the Compact Framework DataGrid is read only, but you can use an
associated TextBox for data entry:
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms172499.aspx .

You can also try ComponentOne FlexGrid and Resco Smartgrid, both have trial
versions and allow for in-place text editing.

What's up with assuming you should get an answer in an hour? We're all
volunteers here, you know!

An hour?

Sat 31-Jan 20:40 (i.e. 8:40 pm) to Sun 1-Feb 10:17 AM?

Did I enquire in 1 hr? Where could you read an hr in this?

It was 13 hours, but still, it was less than a day and over a weekend.
Expecting turnaround in that timeframe is a bit unreasonable.

Well I appologies if I enquired a little early...

but than understanding that this is a connected world (literally around the
globe) and not confined to a local down the lane corner club where meeting
time is strictly in the evening...

13 hours is really sufficient to repost for a notice... especially when the
need for support is desparate for MSDN registered IDs...

Sorry about misreading the AM/PM on your messages. I apologize.

Remember that we are not paid to support you, nor is anyone in this forum
paid to support you. This is all peer support. You are not talking
directly to Microsoft (although you can pay to do that, if you really want a
24-hour, not 13-hour), turn-around, on average. I'm not sure what a
registered MSDN ID has to do with anything. Your question doesn't deserve
any more priority than anyone else's. If someone knows the answer, you'll
get a reply. If they are buried in an active project of their own, it might
take a few days. It's reasonable to strobe the thread after a day or two,
updating what else *you've* done in the mean time and what you've found, but
assuming that you're owed a response in short order is actually bad for
response times.
