Generally when I start Outlook 2007 I get a message that "a data file wasn't
closed properly the last time I exited and the files have to be checked" or
something to that effect. When I close many times I see a window flash by
but it's too fast to see it before it closes. Any help would be appreciated

Usually this means that an add-in or external application is preventing
Outlook from closing normally. Verify that the outlook.exe process also
actually quits when you close Outlook.

For some suggestions see;

Roady,
How would I determine such a thing? As far as I know it's closing normally
but I don't know how to check any further.
Thanks,

Start Task Manager and look on the Processes tab. If you see outlook.exe
still running it hasn't closed properly.
