When opening Outlook 2003 receving error message:

The data file Mailbox "User Name" was not closed properly

Then it scans for errors, but does open up and functions fine.

Searched for help on Microsoft and found hot fixes, but they were for
Outlook 2007 and would not work with Outlook 2003.

Any suggestions?

After you close Outlook, wait a few minutes and then open Task Manager and
look at the Processes tab -- see if Outlook.exe is still listed. If so,
something is keeping it running in the background.

Yes, it is still running, but does close after a few seconds. Read a similar
post here and I went into Tool, Options, Other, Advanced, Add In Mgr and
unchecked Antivirus to see if that solves the problem.
