next thing I just noticed - I turned off the feature to automatically empty
deleted files on exiting - so I manually empty that folder before exiting.
Twice now, when I reopen and get that error message, the messages are back in
the deleted file despite my having manually emptied that folder. Does that
sync with this pattern and possible causes?
