Even though you might have closed Outlook correctly, it may still be running
in the background or crashed upon shutdown. Usually this is caused by an
addin or a program that relies on Outlook.

Hi,
Outlook 2007 goes into a "data file check" every time I start it, saying
some files did not shut down correctly. But I always make sure I close the
program correctly, and when it's not in the middle of a Send/Receive or
anything. This really slows down performance of my whole computer, and
usually ends up with Outlook Not Responding for a little time (doesn't crash
though).
Any ideas?
Thanks!
Frank
