The problem may be this AVI Properties registry key, export it then delete it and restart:
[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{87D62D94-71B3-4b9a-9489-5FE6850DC73E}]
Another method is to un-register the file: shmedia.dll.
Open the Run box and enter: regsvr32 /u shmedia.dll
