Hi, As I've shared a couple of times, Microsoft took it upon itself to force
SP2 onto my computer through Windows Updates even though I had Automatic
Updates turned off exactly to stop that from happening without my permission.

One consequence of that is that now I cannot delete icons from either of my
user accounts' desktops. I get the message --> Data Error: (Cyclic Redundancy
Check) after a few seconds. Is there a non-destructive way to fix this?
Thanks.

Is it possible that those icons are actually in the "allusers"
desktops?
If so try removing them from there instead of from each users'
seperate desktops.

Good Luck,
