Im having a small problem with a Windows 2000 Server (SP4)
and I was wondering if anyone could shed any light.
Basically the server is used as a common drive / home
drive for our users. This morning however all the data in
users home area has disappeared BUT the file structure has
remained intact (user shares and some subdirectories).
Another area on the same parition used as a common area is
completely intact and not missing any data.
This has happened to me before (different company /
server / infrastructure) on an NT4.0 (Sp6a) server and I
was hoping this is a known issue and there is an easy
remedy to prevent it happening again.
Any help greatly appreciated.
