Data connection to a database

I've been using Excel to connect to data in an MS Access database for awhile,
but something's different in Excel 2007. I want to have the connection
Overwrite existing cells rather than insert new cells. In Office 2003, you
were presented with this option BEFORE you finished setting up the data
connection and importing. Now when I connect to my MS Access database, the
"Import Data" dialogue box that appears only has options to select between
Table, Pivot Table Report, etc..., and to select where in the worksheet I
want to place the data. There is a button marked "Properties", but it opens
another dialogue box called "Connection Properties" that has no options for
Overwriting vs. Inserting cells.

When I import the data, it inserts new columns to the left of the data that
I want to overwrite. THis is not good to me because the existing data is
linked to dozens of graphs that I would rather not have to relink. But if I
can overwrite the existing data, the graphs will still be good. Once I
import the data and it inserts new cells, I can click on "Properties" under
Data-Connections, and the dialogue box that appears is the one I want with
the Overwrite/Insert option, but it's not much good to me AFTER the data has
been imported.

So the question is, how do I set it up so that my data overwrites the
existing cells?
