Data connection between Excel sheets

I am trying to connect to an Excel spreadsheet from another spreadshee
(also from Sharepoint trying to pivot an excel sheet).

Below is the data source connection I have made, but it only works i
the Excel spreadsheet I am connecting to is OPEN, if not it cannot fin
the object and returns no data. Any ideas?
