Most installers have an option for custom installations, I am sure Nero
does too. Using the custom option you can deselect those options you choose
not to use.
Nero InCD is one you might think about installing as well as Nero Burning
ROM or Nero Express.
Each of these has the capability of writing to CD's or DVDs as long as the
version is new enough.
I did experience a problem writing to my DVD at first with Nero 7, but it
turned out that the culprit was that my DVD firmware was not up-to-date.
Updating the firmware has fixed that problem. Now I can burn anything I
want to DVD.
