Data Access in FrontPage and SharePoint

I need to display results of a search on .aspx pages on my SharePoint 2003
server usning FrontPage 2003. My data set less than 200 records, by I need to
query and display a subset of these records. I also need to update the data
set as a result from an authorized user making updates to the .aspx page.
Currently, the data is in Excel but I can export it to Access or SQL Server
if needed. I do not know how to make a data connection and then query the
data within the FrontPage/SharePoint environment. Any pointers would be
appreciated.
