Hello:

Need a little help...

Whenever I have a problem with a kicked-back email, I am provided with .dat
file, for example a ATT00128.dat. I have gone to Control Panel, Folder
Options, File Types but I am unable to find a .dat file, therefore I am
unable to open the file. I'm currently having a problem with email and would
like to be able to read that file in order to provide whatever info is
contained in it to tech support. Or, is there some reason why I shouldn't be
opening a .dat file?

For some reason I am drawing a blank... could you be so kind as to provide
me with direction -- what I need to do in order to read these files, or, if I
shouldn't attempt to read them, I'd like to know why, too?

Try opening with with notepad.exe.
