My Windows 2000 will not open .DAT documents. What can I
do about this?

That depends on what application is making them. If they are clear text
files, you should be able to associate them to notepad, and then you should
be able to see them.

If its a binary file, then there really isnt anything that you can do, as
whatever application created them will know how to work with them.

What's a DAT document? What application created those files?
