DAT 4mm Tape Drive Not Usable In NTBackup

Hi,

Recently I just connected a 4mm DDS2 DAT tape drive via
a SCSI card (Adaptec 2940uw) to my machine running XP Home
(recently patched). On booting it sees the drive in the
devices list but when I come to use NT Backup (installed
off the XP Home CD), although it can see the tape drive it
won't let me do anything with it. I.e. the media tools menu
is greyed out, dispite selecting the tape drive entry.

I have successfully backed up the system using NT
Backup to another partition. The machine is dual boot and
the tape drive works as expected under Linux so it is not a
hardware issue.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks,

Tony.
