Cricket is a dart game. You gotta hit three times the 20-19-18-17-16-15 and
bulls. After hitting one of the numbers three times you score each time
you hit it thereafter. When you hit it three times you have "opened" the
number. Then hit it again and you score its value. The outside ring is a
double score-the inside ring is a triple score and the mass in between is
its face value. Your opponent does the same thing. The first one to "open"
can only score on it. Your opponent hits it three times and you no longer
score on the number and your opponent cannot score on it either because it
is now "closed". When you "open" everything you win-but only if you have
the higher score. Or else you keep throwing until you do have the high
score. "Open" the bull and it is either 25 or double for 50.
We have a local juke joint that has tournaments every Friday and has a
league that travels around locally. I am not that good-and I don't really
want to take on a partner and force them to lose money-uggh!! Some of these
players have placed pretty high in Las Vegas in various tournaments. I play
darts with these guys ( and gals) and they are very, very good. But I
don't play in the leagues or the tourneys as I would be giving my money away
and my partner's also. lol
