Dark PIM/EXIF prints on Epson 2100

Which ever paper I use, the untouched, direct from camera/cf card JPEGs
prints are always too dark. I use Epson's photoquicker 3.2 and select the
EXIF/PIM option.

I thoght that PIM was supposed to provide the 'as is' image! Wel, they are
way too dark.

Any reasons why this is happening. I get correct exposures using PS and
afjusting the levels but wondered if anyone lese is getting dark prints with
PIM.
