hmm, never seen a file be named damaged, automatically by windows. Maybe
it's a result of a chkdsk. What you could do is to relocate it to a temp
directory and run your pc for a few days, maybe weeks and see if you pc can
function without it. My guess is that it will. Afterwards I would do some
house cleaning and see if running CleanMgr will clean out your temp
folder.....
