Hi, I'm looking for information on the running cost of a drum scanner -
particularly the 'Dainippon Screen DT-S1030AI desktop'. I did a search on
this particular model to no avail. All I know of it so far is that it
doesn't run on Mac OSX.

My main concerns are the costs of replacement parts like drums and bulbs -
how long do these last before replacement, does it need constant servicing?

Can anyone here help, or direct me to a relevant site or forum?

Many thanks.

Try contacting <http://genesis-equipment.com>. They have that exact scanner
for sale at $6000, a refurbished model. Precise link for that is:

<http://genesis-equipment.com/productDetails.cfm?prodID=246&prodTypeID=6&manID=12>

It will run under the older Mac OS 9. One suggestion for operation is to
dedicate a computer to it, and set up a scanning station.

You can also ask Genesis Equipment about supplies and parts. These printers
are now just branded Screen, or sometimes might be listed as Cezanne. Best of
luck.

Ciao!

Hi, and thanks. It was sold for just over £700 ( approx $1400) - far more
than I thought worth paying for. I appreciate your help though.
