Vincent,
Your powerpoint presentation probably contains an image/picture that was
"grabbed" copied and pasted from the internet.
The image contains a link to the original internet page. That is why
powerpoint is trying to connect to the internet.
Best option is to copy the picture to the clipboard (edit, copy). Then
edit>paste using a graphics app...like ms photo editor or paint shop pro.
Save the image in your graphics app.
Delete the image from powerpoint.
Then "insert > picture from file" in powerpoint
