My Windows XP Professional SP-1 system freezes whenever i
install the drivers for the D-link 520+ wireless adapter.
The machine runs fine without the adapter. THe machine
will freeze for varying times eg. 5 minutes, 10 minutes,
2 minutes - but will eventually continue to operate.

I already have the latest drivers for the card from
support.d-link.com.

The configuration for the system is as follows:
PIV 2.4GHZ 533
512MB DDR 333
MSI 845PE MB
Seagate 120GB HD
Seagate 80 GB HD
64MB Pine Geforce4 MX440SE
Lucent Modem
Lite-On 52X burner

I have one of these adapters installed on a XP Pro computer with no
problems. What is the version of the drivers?

Also, check the Event Log to see if there are errors logged when it freezes.
Sounds like a driver issue.
