Anyone aware of this problem?
Th point is that this seems nothing to do with encodings.
The text that was supposed to look "Привет" (win1251
codepage) appears as "@825B" as I type it. This only
happens when typing in web-forms in IE6.0 browser.
(6.00.2800.1106.xpsp2.030422-1633, update versions: SP1,
q818529, q330994, q832894). Really annoying. Happens on
both XPpro boxes I own.
There's only two input locales setup - Russian and English
(US) with default IMEs, no Asian languages support,
nothing special in regional setup. Language bar is in it's
place and showing RU as current layout when I type.
Please get back to me via email if you know the solution.

The same issue here. The problem appears to be with the IE - Mozilla
Firefox works as usual. Please mail me as well for the solution.

I've managed to figure out the solution, for me at least. The problem was
with the spyware Add-On to the IE: NavExcel Toolbar. Inspite the NAV and
all security patches, IE has caught it. Simply disabling it (together with
its module "Online Helper") and restarting the IE helped.
