Cyrillic characters in Outlook 2007

I receive e-mails from contacts in Russia. Although the e-mail addresses use
western characters, their names that e-mails are sent under are written in
cyrillic.
In Outlook 2000, I could get these to displat correctly in the 'From' column
of my inbox simply by using automated formatting based on the e-mail address.
Thus, I set any messages from an address ending in .ru to use a cyrillic font
type. This worked fine.

Now I have 'upgraded' to Outlook 2007 on Vista, this no longer works. Any
e-mails I get from my Russian contacts just show up as loads of question
marksin the 'From' column. Strangely, the formatting solution still works for
the 'Subject' column.

Any ideas how to get the cyrillic characters to display properly in the
'From' column?
