How can I cut away a scene in Movie Maker 2?

A whole single scene?
Just delete it!

Ctrl + L

Showing timeline, click on the beginning of the video segment you wish to
remove. Use the Ctrl + L keyboard combination to insert a break in the
timeline. Locate the end of the video segment and insert a break at that
point also. Click on the segment which you've just isolated to select it.
Press the delete key.
