Moving files w/i a web / subweb will not work for what you want to do
Normal practice is to create a subweb for development
Publish your root web to a new subweb w/i your local site
Open the subweb and Publish it to a subweb on your online host
(the subweb can have unique permissions if you want)
- test it, correct it
Then publish the tested subweb back to the root web

|I would like to put a copy of all the site files into a folder that I will
| use strictly for testing at the host. I use php in some files therefore I
| can not test everything on my local PC.
|
| Is there a way copy to a folder and not have the hyperlinks updated?
|
| Thanks, Robert
