cut and paste addresses

This seems an unsolved problem. An email I have received has a list of ca
100 addressees in various formats. I wish to merge this list with lists
from other emails, put them in alphabetical order, eliminate duplicates and
copy back into the To: feld.

When I copy this list to Word or Wordperfect, the nicknames copy OK but
quite a few addresses are lost, even if I use paste special etc. How do I
ensure that everything gets copied then pasted?
