Hello all,

I would like to add few buttons to Windows Explorer Toolbar (Windows
XP Home SP3) that would run/call some external programs - i.e.
Notepad, Outlook or my own software.

Is it possible to do such a thing using Registry or it must be done
with programming? If so, any ideas and clues how?

You mean like add them to the taskbar like QuickLaunch does? If so, just
right click on an empty area of the toolbar and select toolbar and then
QuickLaunch.

Neither is necessary, it is built in...

1. right click the toolbar

2. unlock it (if locked)

3. check the "Links" option

4. populate the Links toolbar with whatever shortcuts you desire
