While I rarely use windows Explorer, in favor of Opus 9. There are occasions
when I want to use it.

I did find a nice utility which allowed me to customize the right click
window to add "copy to", "move to", and other items. but I'd like to go
further.

I'd like to be able to change the font size and font, and other properties.
I see no way to do this inside Explorer itself.

Can anyone point me to a free utiity which can handle things such as this,
assuming such a utility exists.

Thanks -

Ron Hirsch

Sorry, I don't understand your reply.

I know I can (and have) customized windows for various things including font
size etc..

But I want to make changes in Explorer (if possible), that only affect
Explorer - add some capabilities, and adjust the displays, etc..

All the 3rd party file managers I've used, and there have been many since
Lotus Magellan in DOS, allow customizations for the file manager only.

Windows Explorer is a relic from the days of the dinosaur. I'm surprised
that MS hasn't done something to make it a better utility.

Since I only use rarely, since it's totally outpaced by programs like Opus
9, I won't be too upset if I can't find a utility to be able to make it more
useful, functional, and attractive.

You've already paid for it: it's called Windows

However, the setting changes are global, and not restricted to the
right-click menu.

Thanks for the info. But since I use Opus 9 for 99% of all my file/folder
management activities, I'm not looking to purchase another program to do
this also.

Opus 9 is expensive ($90 US), but it is the ultimate program for file and
folder management. Opus 9 is like a limousine, compared to a rickshaw for
Windows Explorer.

Check out the manual here

If you are a serious user, I think it's worth it.
