I use Outlook 2007 on Exchange 2003. Customize View settings won't apply to
archive and cached exchange folders including Automatic Formatting, Other
Settings etc. Initially the settings are applied to the folder but whenever I
go to another folder and return to the folder of which the settings are
changed, I see that the settings are reset to previous state.

The interesting thing is that this does not happen in PST folders.

Please help.

I have noticed that this is a folder specific issue rather than data file
issue. I have created another folder inside my Mailbox folders and noticed
that Customize View applies to this folder.

Any help?

its always best to make new views and apply them, not customize the same
view differently in each folder. One-off views are not as persistent.

http://www.outlook-tips.net/howto/grouping.htm shows how to edit the default
views so one view applies to all folders using that view.

Diane,

It worked with the solution you have suggested. Thanks.
