You will have to set up numbering via styles; that is the only way you can
safely reuse numbering formatting in Word. For a single-level list you
can use the built-in List Number style, which can be modified (see
http://www.shaunakelly.com/word/styl...ifyAStyle.html) to suit your
needs.
