Outlook 2003: I've just changed to Outlook from Outlook Express and have the
following problem: We have two users on the computer and infinite e-mail
addresses, ie: anything in front of the @ comes to my server. However, there
are e-mails addressed to one or two specific addressees that I don't want to
download from the server when I log on; wanting to leave them for the
g'friend when she logs in. This was easy to do in Outlook Express but I can
not work out how to do it in Outlook.

That's because Outlook doesn't have the ability. I think your best bet
would be to have a separate mailbox (on the server) for your g'friend. That
way you can't see her mail and she can't see yours. Right now, you're
actually using only one address with multiple aliases. As far as your mail
server (and Outlook) is concerned, they're all the same address.

As a work-around, configure Outlook to leave a copy of messages on the
server (with the option enabled to delete them after a period of time or if
removed from Deleted Items) and create a rule that permanently deletes all
messages except for those addressed to the specific address for which you
want to see the messages. You'll get yours, the g'friend's will be deleted
once they download, bu they'll be available on the server for her to
download when she logs in. If she has a similar rule, she'll see only her
stuff.
